Yes, you read that title right! The hiatus is in fact over, although it was taken for good reason. In my time away from this blog, not only was I able to improve the look and feel of the site (it looks more "Think & Grow Chick-like", don't you agree?) but I was able to immerse myself in some splendid reading material, documentaries, and radio shows to glean enough information to really shape where this blog is going. Think & Grow Chick is all about self-improvement for today's urban women, and as an urban woman, I had to take a minute and absorb my own advice so that I can better serve you all, my beloved readers. So where did my knowledge journey take me?I'm glad you asked. On my mini-sabbatical, I dove into three major categories that I can't wait to share with you all. The first of which is, of course, hair and beauty. Although this category is not-so new around here, over the past month I've gleaned a new appreciation for the way our hair and beauty goals relates to the other facets of our lives. Have you noticed the way one's haircare can parallel the way one cares for their finances? I hadn't until recently, and it's "ah ha!" thoughts like this that I am excited to share in upcoming post. This wouldn't be the Think & Grow Chick blog if I hadn't also spent some time learning about entrepreneurship and finance, so you can be rest assured that many of the upcoming post will reflect that. From budgeting to wealth building to simply making the most of your money, I've happened upon some great financial information that should give your purse strings that extra "oomph".What is new, however, is my new found appreciation for wellness and overall healthy living. In the simplest terms, you can't really accomplish much if you don't work to keep your body and mind well, so I have a whole slew of eating tips, recipes, and fitness experiments to spring on you all.Besides just the look of the site and the expanded articles, I've made the decision to let YOU, my readers, have a direct impact on what is discussed on the site by opening Think & Grow Chick up to contributors. I've met a lot of "Think & Grow Chicks" via the blogosphere and beyond, and I am happy to be taking submissions from you savvy ladies as a means to make the site more robust. In fact, you'll meet our very first contributor, Evyan, in the next post :-) If you are interested in submitting an article to Think & Grow Chick, click on the "Submissions" tab above and drop me a line.So that's about it for the new and improved Think & Grow Chick. Hang out, browse the archives, and most of all, stay tuned...
