I said I was really excited to be offering a podcast for thinkandgrowchick.com and I meant it; welcome to the first episode of the "Think & Grow To-Go" Podcast! TG2G is a (hopefully) weekly podcast that will feature both well-known and up-and-coming women (and maybe some men) who are doing great things in their respective fields. My intent for TG2G is for you to take it "to-go" in two ways. Firstly, I want you to literally take it to go by downloading it to your computer or iPod and listen to it while on the bus, on the train, in the car, or just sitting in your room. Secondly, I want you to take it "to-go" as in give you enough nuggets to think about, even when you're away from the blog.

Today's podcast features Jacquette M. Timmons, CEO of Sterling Investment Management and author of Financial Intimacy. She has worked in the past with popular site, DailyWorth.com, and is an all around financial guru. She's a very pleasant woman with a body of experience on Wall Street and a fabulous afro to boot. In this podcast, we talk about everything from her road to entrepreneurship to investing with a smaller savings to setting yourself up as an expert online. I have to warn you all that this was my first time EVER recording a podcast, so my questions were bit long-winded (to say the least) and I ask for you forgiveness in advance. I was pretty excited to talk to Jacquette, but regardless I think there is so much to be learned from Jacquette in this hour long interview. If you download this and open it in iTunes, the chapters should come up automatically, but for those using a different platform, the podcast breaks down as follows:0:00—Introduction4:22—Jacquette Introduces Herself21:20—Advice for Newcomers to Personal Finance23:20—What Choices Do the Affluent Make with Money?28:22—What Does it Mean to Make Your Money Work for You?31:25—Can You Invest with Smaller Savings?34:47—Maximizing Your Active Income37:03—Stock Market Investing for the Timid39:52—Investing for Different Goals in Life41:42—Having a Healthy Mental Relationship with Money46:10—Jacquette's Road to Entrepreneurship50:29—Coming Up with a Feasible Business Idea/Product54:36—Positioning Yourself as an Expert57:34—Advice for Networking Online and Face-to-Face1:02:35—Wrap-upListen: [audio:https://thinkandgrowchick.com/audio/Jacquette_Timmons_09_17_10.mp3]Download: Click Here
