About Sunshine Abuwi
Oh yeah...about Sunshine! For those of you who don't know her, she is quite literally a ray of sunshine within the natural hair YouTube community. I stumbled upon her maybe 3 or 4 years ago and I've been hooked on her every since! She produces hundreds of entertaining and encouraging videos online, runs her own social network devoted to natural hair, hernaturalsunshine.com, AND manages her own natural hair and body care line. Sunshine truly does it all! While I love Sunshine's hair videos (not to mention her hilarious series with her husband, "On the Couch w/ Sunshine and M"), it was her beautifully raw and honest videos about her spiritual journey that really made me feel like we were kindred spirits.Over the years she has been completely transparent with her struggles in maintaining her connection to God, caring for her family, and trying to start an online business. Despite it all, Sunshine was able to launch her business with much success which makes her journey all the more inspiring. If you've ever wondered how some women manage to do it all yet stay so spiritually grounded, this is an event you don't want to miss!
Recipes
What would be a girl's night in without snacks, right? You can of course bring whatever you want to this virtual party, but Sunshine and I thought it be fun to provide you some super easy, healthy snacks!
Girl's Night In Dessert:
All you need is Chobani Greek Yogurt in Pineapple (or whichever flavor you prefer) and glazed pecans (you can find the Nature's Harvest brand at Walmart, or check for glazed pecans in the bulk nuts section of your local grocery store).

Pour the glazed pecans on top of the yogurt and enjoy! (Feel free to put the yogurt and nuts in a fancier glass!)

Girl's Night In Faux-jito (Mojito)
Ingredients:
- Blackberries (or another easily crushed fruit such as raspberries)
- Limes
- Fresh mint
- Liquid Agave sweetener (honey or plain sugar works too)
- Sparkling water or club soda
Instructions:
- Take a tall glass and squeeze about 2 tablespoons of agave or sweetener in the bottom of the glass.
- Take a small handful of blackberries and mint and crush them in the bottom of the glass with the back of a spoon (or a pestle if you have one).
- Once the blackberries are all smashed, squeeze in the juice of half a lime. I like to throw in the squeezed lime slices (with the skin on) for decoration.
- Add in the ice and pour cold club soda or sparkling water on top of the entire mixture
- Stir it up and enjoy!
